Parrot on Etched Glass Door

A Parrot on an Etched Glass Door Insert

This is a hurricane impact glass door insert that has just been etched.  I wanted to show you the final design before removing the background template. The etching is done and the next step is to remove from the sandblast room, clean and prepare to install the door insert into the entry door.

This closeup of the parrot face shows you the textured background that gives this door total privacy.  This texture is offered in hurricane impact glass and standard tempered glass.  It is called “Streamed”. This glass is very strong and is hurricane rated in all of Florida including Miami Dade county which has the strictest regulations for hurricane protection.

Look here for the privacy textures offered for exterior doors.  Interior doors are only offered in clear or frosted backgrounds. This page also will show you samples of etching seen from both inside and outside so you can verify the privacy levels.

Parrots, Herons, Egrets, and Cardinals

Parrots are just a sample of the birds customers ask for on their glass doors. Sometimes herons and egrets are preferred because of the neighborhood my customers live in. Sometimes coastal homeowners are looking for pelicans because of the proximity to the Florida coast.

No matter what I can change my designs to reflect the details that matter most to you. I do love to make new designs and I love to hear your suggestions.
