Glass Doors with a Traditional Design
Home office or any of your interior glass doors can have a design that compliments the design details in your home. You want something that is different but still is perfect for your decorative taste.
This customer was remodeling the kitchen, dinette area, pantry and laundry room. I asked her to send a few inspiration pictures of the remodeling so far. So she did!
The main inspiration came from the light fixture. Traditional in design with triple downward swooping arms into upward swooping lights. The little dotted detail around the light fixture was the next inspiration. She did say she liked curves so let’s go with that.
Looking at the next images the tile is more modern with rectangular shapes so popular now. That was used in the border behind the design to bring the eye to the entire doorway. It brings the two sides of the door together, so I mirrored it. Perfect.
First glance at her proof she was stunned. “You captured exactly me!” Just wonderful to hear. That’s my goal. When you see it , you’ll just know. And she did.
I can’t wait to see them installed in the final remodel.
How are etched glass doors made?
Watch the video below as the design unfolds as both sides of the door are etched from beginning to end. Takes hours in reality but 28 seconds here!
Laundry Room Glass Doors with Ball Catch
Yep! They are for the laundry room! It is easy to see how these could be used for the pantry on frosted glass. Or the home office with clear glass. Or the laundry room.
This customer ordered clear glass for the background glass. They plan to apply LIMO tint (Car window tint) on the backside once the painting is done. This will give a very smooth glossy look to the glass and the design will look fantastic. The darker the background the better it shows up.
What is a Ball Catch?
Ball catch hardware is mortised into the top of the door and the receiving side is mortised into the top frame of the door. So the handles that work best are the dramatic pull handles mounted vertically. Very easy to push and pull the door open rather than using a lever or door knob. Perfect for doors used frequently that do not need a locking feature such as pantry, laundry, etc.
You buy the hardware separately that matches your existing hardware.
