Etched Glass Window Solves Privacy Problem
An etched glass window with a traditional design on patterned glass solved the privacy issue for this Tampa customer. The builder had installed a clear window above the garden tub. Well needless to say, something had to be done before using the master bathroom. The quick option was to use builder supplied blinds. The issue is the blocking of light in the bathroom.
Using patterned glass solved the problem but was too plain for this customer. With such a large window a pattern was needed. We designed a symmetrical etched glass pattern and incorporated an oval into the design. This design is primarily used for design but it does also help with body shadows. Since the bathroom is a side window that was not the primary concern for this customer. It really turned out beautiful.
While we are not installers, we work with the glass company, Holiga Glass in Lutz florida, for the delivery and installation of the glass and we work with the customer with the design. Removal and installation of glass is a specialized trade so it is necessary to use a glass company (“Glaziers” as a trade name) for this part of the project. We make the entire process easy for the glass company and the customer. We just need to know what size glass to design for so the measuring should be done by the glass company. After that I can work on a hand drawing and use the internet to show the client the design idea before the tedious task of designing the final design.
Our wonderful customer sent us these great photos of the etched glass window once it was installed. The textured glass gives them the privacy they need and the etched design gives decoration.
