Interior Doors with Color Added

Color on interior doors with etched glass adds extra design to your interior decor. Color can be added to most designs but it does have to be an interior door, and it must be etched before color can be added.

This is a much more involved process since it is a two step process. It can be done on any of the 3 backgrounds, clear, acid etched, or enamelled. It is best to use this in lower traffic areas where it is less likely to be touched. It does take more care. The etched area with the color on interior doors must stay at least 1 inch away from the edge of the glass so your painter can tape the glass area off with non inked paper prior to painting. You cannot let the tape touch the colored areas.

The color application does not have to be a full size design either, it can be a partial design or just a small design. Color matching can strive to be close but not exact. Color over another color does change the effect and the lighting and direction of the sun does change the color throughout the day.

The color on interior doors is added after the entire design has been etched. The template is then re applied and the color process begins. This can take several days to complete including time to seal the color and allow drying time. I ship with firm insulation board covering the painted side to prevent any damage. Transporters also add blanket wraps to further the protection for these doors.
