Installing plugs into ODL Evolve frames the EASY way

Installing ODL glass door insert plugs just got easier

ODL offers a few different frame types. Now the Evolve frame is the newest frame for Non-Impact glass door inserts. The plugs can be frustrating. No need to struggle to install the screw hole plugs any longer. This simple technique makes the task much easier.

Since a few of my customers are changing out or installing the door inserts themselves, I thought this helpful video would save the frustration of crooked plug installation as well as time.

ODL inserts have Privacy & Clear options

The glass door inserts have a variety of textures as well as clear glass. You can see the textures offered on my Resources tab > Glass textures for exterior doors.

All the door inserts are insulated. Most are 1″ insulated. This is true for all the door inserts except the entry level clear, which are 1’2″ insulated. So the inner and outer layers of most non impact inserts are 1/8″ tempered with about 1/2″ airspace in between.

The Impact inserts are 1″ overall thickness with the laminated hurricane impact glass on the outside. The inside layer of all inserts is standard 1/8″ tempered clear glass. This is also referred to as “safety glass”.
